Questions & Answers
How do the timer buttons work? After the diffuser is switched ON, the diffuser will automatiy be set to run for 4 hours. Tap once on the Timer button to turn ON the timer mode to 30 minutes. Tap the Timer button again to increase to 60 minutes. Third tap on the Timer button will increase the duration to 90 minutes. Fourth tap on the Timer button will automatiy revert your diffuser to run on its 4 hour time setting before shutting off.
What are the intermittent mist modes? Your device diffuses mist intermittently, and comes programmed with 4 different intermittent mist settings. For detailed instructions on how to select intermittent mist modes: Tap and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to switch ON the diffuser. The green light will turn on; one bar of light is an indication that intermittent mist mode #1 is active. Tap the power button once to enable two bars to light up. Tap the power button again to enable three bars to light up. To compare the different functions of the bar lights: One bar – Diffuse 10 seconds, stop 60 seconds. Two bars – Diffuse 20 seconds, stop 60 seconds. Three bars – Diffuse 30 seconds, stop 60 seconds.
How long does the CandaScent 10ml diffuser blend last? ~200+ hours at the highest intensity setting to ~600+ hours at the lowest intensity setting.
Why isn’t my diffuser turning on? There are a few reasons why you may be experiencing difficulty turning on your diffuser. Here are a few simple troubleshooting suggestions to help you:
- Have you charged your diffuser using the included USB-C cable? The diffuser will only charge using a voltage DC 5V cable, which we have included with your device.
- Have you lined up the white triangle on the cylindrical chamber with the white triangle on the device? The diffuser will not operate correctly without lining up the two white triangles.
What kind of USB input does the diffuser use? The diffuser charges with a voltage DC 5V USB-C cable, which has been included with your device. Please note that higher voltage cables may not successfully charge your diffuser.
Can I dilute my diffuser blend with water or a carrier oil? Can I use a fragrance oil instead of an essential oil? No, you cannot dilute your diffuser blend with water or carrier oil, and we do not using a fragrance oil. The unit is made to atomize small particles of essential oils. If you mix water in, the water and oil will separate and not work as intended. Carrier oils will clog the machine and offer no aromatic benefits. What you breathe and smell matter. At CandaScent Labs, we offer full transparency so you know what molecules you are smelling and breathing in, and what effects they have on your body. We use nature as our guide to formulate for your health and well being. Under the term “Fragrance,” there is no requirement to provide any information about the composition, or require a full list of ingredients as fragrance formulations are considered trade secrets. Synthetics can contain phthalates and parabens that are endocrine disrupting and harmful to your health. Fragrance oils can also clog the machine.
How and when should I clean my diffuser? If the light is on and your diffuser is not functioning, or if you notice less diffusion coming out of your diffuser it is time to clean your diffuser. Clean the nozzle by removing it from the base and removing the tube, attaching a clean bottle filled with rubbing alcohol, placing your finger over the outside port and shaking it to force alcohol into the nozzle area. This will remove any residue buildup that may be preventing the unit from functioning. Replace the tube. You can also fill a clean bottle with some rubbing alcohol and run it for 5-10 minutes. Finally you can wipe your unit down with a soft cloth.
