- END GRAIN DURABILITY β Vincent is an end grain constructed board. This construction type is known to be extremely durable, to withstand heavy duty chopping, and is highly desired for its ‘self-healing’ properties. Each knife cut goes between the wood fibers, rather than cutting through them. These fibers close back up after the knife exits, keeping your knife’s edge sharper for longer.
- WHY TEAK WOOD? β Widely respected for outstanding moisture resistance and strength due to its natural high oil content, Teak is an ideal material for cutting boards. The wood is hard enough to allow for clean cuts, but still soft enough to maintain a knifeβs edge. With proper care and oiling every 3 weeks, Vincent will outlast most items in your kitchen. Our Teak is responsibly sourced from sustainable plantations.
- ALL-IN-ONE BOARD β We understand kitchen space is limited so thatβs why we created a multipurpose board with two distinct sides designed to handle all your cooking, serving, and entertaining needs in one place.
- DEEP JUICE GROOVE β No more messy countertops from liquids running off your board. Our juice groove holds up to 3.5 oz of liquid to prevent water, juice, and grease from overflowing during meal prep and serving. Perfect for cutting up fruits, vegetables, and carving meats like brisket, roast, prime rib, etc.
- STABILITY β Our 1.5 inch thick butcher block style board allows for stability while cutting and the integrated finger grips make it easy to lift, flip or transfer from kitchen to table.
- PERFECT GIFT β Each board comes in a beautiful gift box, perfect for any occasion: birthdays, weddings, housewarmings, Motherβs Day, Fatherβs Day, and more.
- SMALL BUSINESS, BIG SERVICE β We are a small Los Angeles brand and our customers are our #1 priority. We cut no corners in our products and we will cut no corners in our support to you.
- WARRANTY β We stand behind our products, and in the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect, we will replace your board free of charge within 1-year of your order. Warranty registration and care instructions included.

Wood Board Oiling Guide
Boards come oiled and ready to use. It will need regular oiling every 3 weeks
Step 1. Start with a few ounces of oil and spread evenly over the entire board using your dish towel. Make sure to rub the oil on the sides and grooves of the board, adding more oil as needed. Flip the board over and repeat on the reverse side.
Step 2. Leave the oil to absorb into the wood for several hours, or overnight.
Step 3. Wipe off any remaining oil using a dry, clean cloth, so the board does not feel greasy.

Wood is a durable sustainable decision for beautifully functional kitchen decor
We choose wood over bamboo or plastic for a few reasons. Plastic is not sustainable, and is easily damaged and gouged. Bamboo is sustainable due to its fast growth, but not durable. Further, as a type of grass, it is much harder than most hardwoods, and it will dull even the highest quality knife.

Can I wash my board or bread box in the dishwasher?
Sponge baths only, please! All wooden cutting boards should be hand washed with a sponge or a rag; do not soak or submerge in water. No steam room either. Avoid using cooking oils to condition your board as they can become rancid.
How frequently should your Sonder LA wooden board be oiled?
Donβt wait until your cutting board is dry to oil it. Regular treatments of food grade mineral oil or beeswax every 3 weeks are key to the longevity of your board. Lack of oiling can cause unwanted issues like warping, cracking, & bacterial growth.
My boards are showing knife marks – help!
Knife marks are actually good because it means that your cutting board is not harder than your knife. Wood cutting boards are the only durable material that will protect both the knife and countertop. Treat with oil to help blend the knife marks.
How do I handle unintended odors or stains on my board from items like fish or beets?
For odors, after a gentle cleaning with soap and water, treat your board to a lemon cleanse. For stains, treat your board to an effervescent lemon and baking soda spot clean. Be sure to oil your board after treating it to one of the cleanses above.
Will my board look exactly like the pictures on the listing?
The beauty of wood products is that they come from Mother Nature; therefore, every board will have its own unique grain and color. It will not be identical but it will be similar–your board is one of a kind!
