Our mushrooms are grown in a state of the art 21st century proprietary solid state fermentation process. Log grown or wild grown Reishi will likely taste bitter because of what it grows on.

Extract v.s Full SpectrumMany people seem to be under the impression that an extract is required in order to digest and absorb the mushrooms. This is factually false. Some have falsely stated that the chitin cannot be broken down. However, on average, mushrooms contain only a small amount of chitin – somewhere in the range of 1.87-6.93% of the dry mass. Naturally, the hot water extract process leaves many nutrients behind. Rather than being just a portion of the mushroom, full spectrum supplements include the entirety of the fungi, because each part of the mushroom has a defined purpose – mycelium, fruiting body and spores. |
Why Lab Grown Mushrooms?Mushrooms get nutrients from where they grow. So, if they’re grown in a place with more nutrients, mushrooms contain more nutrients. However, the inverse is also true if it is a location with more toxic soil, etc. Lab cultivated mushrooms are carefully groomed to provide you with the highest production standards. Everything can be carefully controlled, like the amount of nutrients – including beta glucans, triterpenes, ergosterol, and polysaccharides and more. This is important because it creates consistency, eliminating the need for an extract. Lab grown mushrooms are also naturally low in heavy metals because everything is carefully regulated. What is Full Spectrum Organic?A full spectrum mushroom supplement takes advantage of all the components of the mushroom. This includes the fruit body, spores, mycelium, primordia, and even some of the substrate, an oft-overlooked part of a medicinal mushrooms. Fruit body: The part of the mushroom that typiy appears above ground or on the food source (whether an insect or plant). It is the fleshy piece of the mushroom that’s responsible for reproduction. Spores: Spores are essentially tiny seeds released by the fruiting body. However, instead of immediay sprouting, they send mycelium shoots in search of other shoots in order to reproduce. Mycelium: Mycelium are both the roots and the brain of the mushroom. They are composed of threadlike hyphae and spread thickly throughout the substrate and soil. Primordia: The first stage of development of a mushroom. Essentially, it’s a sprout. Substrate: The substrate is what the mushroom is growing on or in. It is the food source for the mushroom. |
